SEATTLE, WA -- Turning Point Strategic Advisors is excited to welcome Troy Brown as a new Senior Consultant to its team. With a strong background in both public and private accounting, Troy brings extensive experience and a comprehensive understanding of diverse financial environments.

Troy’s career began at Deloitte’s Audit team in Seattle; he then served as Accounting Manager for Groundworks, a startup in the cannabis industry, where he played a pivotal role in multiple acquisitions and oversaw the implementation of an ERP system. Most recently, Troy was the Financial Controller at Burton Mill Solutions, a saw manufacturer with a history dating back to 1832, where he developed new gross margin models for all of the company’s product lines.

Reflecting on his decision to join Turning Point, Troy said, “I’ve always enjoyed working with a diverse range of industries, and being in the consulting and advisory space allows me to do that. I have a deep appreciation for entrepreneurship and see so much opportunity with players in the middle market. I am excited to be part of a team that is committed to protecting and growing great businesses.”

Turning Point’s CEO, Alan Chaffee, is enthusiastic about Troy joining the firm - “Troy’s blend of public accounting and private industry experience is wonderful. His dual perspective will allow him to identify pain points, implement best practices, and offer well-rounded, practical solutions that resonate with a client’s unique challenges.”

In his role as a Senior Consultant, Troy will manage financial reporting, oversee month-end close procedures, and contribute to developing best practices that maximize operational efficiency. His skills and experience will serve to support businesses in achieving financial clarity, efficiency, and growth.

Troy is a CPA and holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and entrepreneurship from the University of Washington’s Foster School of Business. He currently lives in Portland, OR. Outside of work, Troy loves spending time outdoors, particularly fishing and boating – “nothing beats a nice day on the lake.”
