Turning Point Announces Expansion of Leadership Team

SEATTLE, WA Turning Point, a leading outsourced CFO solutions provider, announced the expansion of their leadership team in response to rapid growth in the number of employees over the past two years. Lucas Kartic has been named president and managing partner, a newly created role for the company. Additionally, Julie Stead was promoted to partner and director of the south sound, and Brian Burns was promoted to partner and director. Alan Chaffee, CEO and founder of Turning Point, and Eric Camm, director of capital advisory and partner, round out the leadership team and remain in their current roles.

Turning Point Leadership Expansion

In this newly created role, Lucas will manage and evolve the operations of the business to scale for fast growth. Most recently, Lucas held the title of director, CFO & controller advisory at Turning Point where he developed and implemented financial processes to produce accurate and timely information for clients. He worked directly with clients to show them how to think strategically and how to use financial data to their best advantage to increase profits and manage cash flow. Lucas has been at Turning Point since 2009, when the company was founded. He graduated from Seattle Pacific University in 2010 and achieved his CPA in 2013.

Julie Stead, Partner and Director of the South Sound

Julie has been promoted to partner and director of the south sound. In her new role, Julie will be responsible for expanding Turning Point’s presence among the rapidly growing south sound area and supporting her team members.  In addition to filing the traditional fractional CFO/Controller positions, her group specializes with clients struggling with cash flow or profitability issues, whether due to revenue growth exceeding capacity or market retraction. Julie works directly with client CEOs and accounting departments, reviewing processes and procedures to ensure accuracy in financial reporting and improve efficiencies. She has been at Turning Point since 2011 in the Financial/CFO Advisory Group. Julie graduated from the University of Washington in 2004 with a master’s degree in Public Accounting. She achieved her CPA in 2005 and spent the first several years of her career working in public accounting before coming to Turning Point.

Brian Burns, Partner and Director

Brian has been promoted to partner and director at Turning Point. He was previously a senior financial consultant at the company. In his new role, Brian is responsible for a larger team and will take a more active role in several networking groups. He has worked in the financial services sector in the Puget Sound region for over a decade and joined Turning Point in 2016. With his combined experience in both public accounting and the private sector, Brian is adept at managing a variety of financial situations and industries. He specializes in improved financial reporting, managing cash flows, and forecasting. Brian has a BA in both Accounting and Finance from Western Washington University, and has been a CPA in the State of Washington since 2011.
